Orwell Digital was founded in 2002 by software developer Alex Aliferis with the purpose of providing innovative tools for computer-based music production.

Starting with a series of software synthesizers for Korg's OASYS PCI platform, Orwell Digital's offerings have grown to include a wide variety of products for diferent systems, such as patch and effect collections for Logic Pro, Absynth and Kontakt, as well a entertainment software for Macintosh, Windows and the iPhone.
